Registration Information

Dear Parents:

This note will hopefully serve to clarify and/or answer questions you may have about the upcoming Registration Nights in Sumner County.  The New Student Registration this Monday, July 22nd is ONLY for students who are new to our school.  So, if you registered your child last spring by sending in the Registration Card, it is not necessary for you to come this Monday.

For the registration evenings of July 30th and August 1st, you will choose either date to attend as a come-and-go event beginning at 5:30 and ending at 8:30 p.m.  As you enter the school, please stop by the TABLE in the front foyer to pick up a folder assigned to your child containing the name of his/her teacher, several required forms, and a checklist for the evening.

You will then be asked to proceed to the Cafeteria area where many of the items on the checklist can be taken care of at that time.  Some of these items include visiting the Transportation Table for Bus Number Confirmation, picking up a name placard for your car visor/dashboard if your child will be a car rider at dismissal, and/or permission forms if your child will be a bike rider or a walker to and from school.

Other items to address while in the Cafeteria include visiting the Lunch Table for MealPay Plus information as well as Lunch Account set up, optional Spanish & French after school classes, Drama Kids, YMCA Fun Company Before & After School Care, and any other informational materials that may be available and of interest to you.  The school bookstore will also be open.  Additionally, the PTO will be set up with tables with information about the PTO program and donations.

Then, you will proceed to your child’s classroom where book and supply fees can be collected by your child’s teacher.  This will also give your child’s teacher the chance to provide any information needed for the beginning of the school year.

Look for our Supply Lists on the ILE website soon.  However, for your convenience all items can be paid for on Registration Day and the supplies will be in your child’s classroom beginning the first full day for students on Monday, August 5th.

If you cannot attend either of the Registration Evenings, please contact the office on Thursday, August 1st to find out who your child’s teacher will be and to take care of paper work and fees at this time.

Reminder – Monday, August 5th is the first full day for all students in grades 1-5.  Kindergarten students will receive their Phase-In Days for the week of August 5th-9th at the Registration Evenings.  Beginning Monday, August 12th, all Kindergarten students will report all day, each day.
